Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in civil supervision, site engineering, construction supervision, or civil construction management within large-scale building, infrastructure, industrial, or mission-critical projects. • 10+ years • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. • Civil Engineering • Strong experience supervising day-to-day civil works on active construction sites. • Solid understanding of civil construction methods, site execution, quality requirements, safety standards, and construction sequencing. • Experience supervising works such as earthworks, concrete, foundations, structural elements, blockwork, finishing works, drainage, external works, utilities, and roads. • Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, structural drawings, specifications, method statements, shop drawings, inspection requests, and technical documents. • Experience coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, QA/QC teams, HSE teams, and multidisciplinary project teams. • Ability to monitor progress, identify delays or site constraints, and support corrective actions. • Strong awareness of site quality control, inspection processes, NCR follow-up, punch list management, and handover requirements. • Good understanding of construction safety practices and the ability to reinforce safe working conditions on site. • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage daily site priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. • Experience working on data center, mission-critical, industrial, infrastructure, or large-scale commercial building projects. • data center • Previous experience working in Dubai, the UAE, or the wider GCC region. • Experience working in a PMC, consultant, owner’s representative, or client-side supervision environment. • Familiarity with UAE authority requirements, local construction regulations, and international construction standards. • Knowledge of document control and project management platforms such as Aconex, Procore, Oracle Primavera Cloud, BIM 360, or similar systems. • Familiarity with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project for reviewing site progress and look-ahead schedules. • Additional training or certifications in construction safety, QA/QC, or site supervision are preferred.
Responsibilities
• Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities on site, ensuring works are performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements. • Monitor civil works, including excavation, backfilling, concrete works, foundations, structural elements, blockwork, finishes, external works, roads, drainage, utilities, and related site activities. • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, site engineers, consultants, QA/QC teams, HSE teams, and project management representatives. • Review daily site activities and ensure that manpower, materials, equipment, and work fronts are properly coordinated. • Monitor contractor progress against approved schedules, look-ahead plans, and daily work targets. • Identify site constraints, quality issues, coordination gaps, and construction risks, and escalate them to project leadership when required. • Support inspections by coordinating with QA/QC teams and ensuring civil works are ready for inspection and testing. • Verify that civil works are completed in compliance with approved inspection and test plans, quality procedures, and applicable codes and standards. • Monitor site safety practices and ensure civil activities are carried out in accordance with project HSE requirements. • Review and comment on civil method statements, shop drawings, inspection requests, material deliveries, and site documentation as required. • Assist in resolving technical queries, RFIs, design clarifications, and site coordination issues related to civil works. • Maintain accurate daily site records, including progress updates, manpower reports, site observations, inspection status, and issue logs. • Support the preparation of progress reports, site updates, punch lists, NCR follow-up, and closeout documentation. • Coordinate with other disciplines, including structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, ICT/ELV, and commissioning teams, to ensure proper interface management. • Support testing, handover, snagging, and closeout activities for civil works. • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability, and timely issue resolution across site activities. • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
