Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree • 4+ years of software or data engineering experience • Hands-on experience extracting from and integrating with Snowflake • Proficiency with BigQuery and PostgreSQL • Strong Python skills and comfort connecting to third-party APIs and SaaS data sources • Experience building atomic, modular codebases • Familiarity with GCP or similar cloud infrastructure • Experience with Airflow, Polars, Parquet, or Spark • Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation tools • Interest in the NLP/AI space • Comfort in a fast-moving startup environment

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines across BigQuery, PostgreSQL, and third-party SaaS integrations • Design and lead data extraction and transformation strategy from Snowflake environments, exercising independent technical judgment to establish schema standards, transformation logic, and data quality criteria supporting downstream analysis and product use cases • Collaborate with engineers and product teams to define data contracts and schema standards • Design and implement the alerting and observability strategy for data pipelines on GCP - defining SLOs, alert thresholds, and dashboards, and setting up the monitoring stack to support them • Own data quality - write validation logic, catch issues, problem solve and design solutions before they reach production • Be involved in the full software lifecycle from design through deployment
