Requirements
• 7+ years of experience in accounting. Responsibilities
• Manage the daily, weekly, and monthly US GAAP accounting tasks for the foreign acquisition, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Review team work products with attention to detail, identifying and correcting errors while enhancing processes to improve accuracy and efficiency. • Verify intercompany transactions and eliminations across subsidiaries. • Where required, assist the Australian-based account team with preparation of statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors. • Maintain and enhance accounting documentation, policies, and internal controls. • Own assigned Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act of 2002 key controls and ensure performance with no deficiencies. • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members supporting both the US GAAP and local accounting. • Participate in due diligence and integration for new market launches and expansions. • Lead and advocate for process improvements and system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy. • Develop strong cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure timely, accurate delivery of requests and projects. • Serve as a key point of contact for relevant accounting matters, ensuring clear communication and issue escalation as needed.
