Engine - Staff Software Engineer, Backend

• Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available and high-performing distributed systems. You have a proven track record of building public-facing (consumer-grade) APIs and managing the complexities of versioning, deprecation, and consumption-based rate limiting. Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Kotlin (or similar modern backend languages), and AWS is a plus. • Skills: You’re a problem-solver with a strong grasp of software design principles, scalability, and system architecture. We operate the Auth0 tenant, shape the login experience, and partner with enterprise customers to deliver secure, reliable identity integrations — so every traveler, admin, and partner can access the right things, at the right time, with confidence. • Lodging Team • The Lodging team owns the end-to-end traveler journey, from the first search through checkout and beyond. We build beautiful, intuitive interfaces that mask the immense complexity of global travel logistics, transforming intricate inventory data into a world-class booking experience.
