apify - Developer Community Specialist (Europe/Asia)
Requirements
• You have 2+ years experience building or managing communities - it’s not the name or size of the community that matters, it’s that you've grown something and have the numbers to show for it. • You have hands-on experience with at least one community platform, e.g. Discord, Reddit, Discourse. • You own work end-to-end. You pick things up and finish them, or you flag blockers without waiting to be asked. • You're a proven team player who enjoys collaborating and thrives in shared projects. • Strong written English - you can write clearly for a technical audience, from a quick Discord reply to a long-form blog post. • You're curious about tech and developer tools and willing to learn Apify deeply enough to engage credibly with developers. • You're comfortable with AI tools beyond a chat interface, understanding when to use them and when to show up as yourself. New to AI? Apify is a great place to learn. • Experience managing or moderating technical communities, e.g. AI communities, gaming communities. • Experience organizing or attending online or in-person community events. • Confident presenting to developer audiences: you can host a webinar, moderate a panel, and run a live product demo without breaking a sweat. • Don't worry if you don't meet all of the above criteria. We value diverse skills and experience and would love to hear from you. • BY THE END OF THE FIRST 3 MONTHS, WE EXPECT YOU TO: • Complete onboarding, build relationships across Developer Relations, Community, and Social Media, and start engaging with the community in Apify-maintained spaces. • Ship your first programs: Organize at least one office hour end-to-end - topic selection with product teams, logistics, marketing promotion, and live hosting on Discord. • Prepare community metrics: Understand the key numbers we use for measuring community health and record them for the monthly report. • BY THE END OF THE FIRST 6 MONTHS, WE EXPECT YOU TO: • Know the community inside out: Map the most active members, their use cases, and the topics that generate the most engagement - and be able to articulate what's driving growth and what isn't. • Understand the KPIs: Learn about the key metrics that matter most for community health over the next 12 months and contribute to activities that improve them. • Build your internal network: Have working relationships with Engineering, Marketing, and Product, and know who to loop in for what.
