• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers through regular 1:1s, honest feedback, and active investment in their careers
• Build and maintain a high-trust, high-accountability team culture aligned with Badge's values
• Own the engineering rhythm — standups, planning, retros, tech debt — making sure these are lightweight, purposeful, and actually useful
• Identify and address performance issues early, with care and directness
• Lead hiring with input from the Head of Engineering. You will source, interview, and close great talent
• Remove blockers and shield the team from noise so they can focus and do deep work
• Surface risks and communicate team status clearly to leadership — no surprises
• Continuously improve how the team works together, onboard new members, and share knowledge
• Help manage and prioritize technical initiatives, ensuring they align with business goals
