Clearer.io - Software Engineer II
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent and 2-4 years of relevant experience is required. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. • Expert-level proficiency in programming principles (e.g. OOP, functional) and design patterns (e.g. DRY, SOLID, IoC). • Expert-level proficiency in at least one frontend framework (React, Angular, or Vue) and experience with advanced UI concepts. • Expert-level proficiency in at least one backend language (Node.js, PHP, Python, or Go) and experience with microservices architecture. • Extensive experience with database design, optimization, and NoSQL databases. • Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment tools, and infrastructure-as-code. • Proven experience leading small to medium-sized development teams in an Agile environment. • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including a deep understanding of cloud-native architectures. • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems. • Experience with security best practices for web applications. • Proficiency in prompt engineering and experience in using AI coding assistant tool in day-to-day work. • Fluent in English. • Life at clearer.io • eCommerce is crowded, noisy and increasingly complex. Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex features and components for cloud-based SaaS applications. • Lead the development of medium to large-sized features, taking ownership from design to deployment and monitoring. • Architect and implement solutions that are scalable, resilient, and maintainable. • Proactively identify and address technical debt and architectural improvements. • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers, including code reviews and mentoring. • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define and refine technical requirements. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, including performance and scalability problems. • Contribute to the selection and evaluation of new technologies and tools. • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies. • Customers at the heart: we obsess over their needs so we can grow together • Purposeful progress: we don't settle - we take initiative and embrace bold thinking • Endless innovation: we refine, improve, and take meaningful action • Always open: we build trust through transparency and global collaboration
