clarium - Engineering Manager
Requirements
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years leading engineers as an engineering manager • Experience leading teams building end-user-facing features, with a deep care for product quality, usability, and performance • Ability to translate product requirements into technical plans and drive projects from concept to production • Hands-on experience with our core stack: Python, React, and TypeScript, including shipping production code and a desire to stay hands-on writing code in this role • A strong collaborator who builds alignment across Engineering, Data, and Product teams • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences and keep leadership informed through clear, actionable updates • Experience in healthcare, supply chain, or another complex regulated domain • Experience scaling teams or processes in an early-stage startup environment • Need to Know: Python · React · TypeScript • Nice to Know: AWS · SQL · Data pipeline / ETL workflows • What You Get at Clarium
Responsibilities
• Define the technical strategy for your team's products and collaborate cross-functionally to align technical solutions with business goals • Lead technical execution across system design, architecture, and operational excellence to ensure quality, reliability, and scalability • Write production code and contribute to code reviews and architecture decisions alongside your team • Drive user-facing features from concept to production, translating product requirements into technical plans with high accountability • Remove blockers and establish processes that enable your team to move quickly and communicate effectively • Hire, mentor, and grow engineers, providing clear and actionable feedback • Incentive Stock Options proportionate to your salary • Fully remote, with a NYC co-working space available; distributed team across multiple time zones with opportunities for in-person time • Top-tier health, vision, and dental benefits
