Requirements

  • Seniority: 7+ years of experience in Institutional Sales or Business Development within a high-growth financial environment.
  • Crypto Expertise: 5+ years of dedicated experience in the digital asset/Web3 space, specifically in outbound sales for an Exchange, Custodian, or Prime Broker.
  • Industry Network: A robust, active "book of business" and network across hedge funds, proprietary trading firms (HFT), banks, asset managers, and OTC desks.
  • Strategic Execution: A proven track record of initiating, managing, and monetizing institutional relationships with clear examples of revenue and volume growth.
  • Product Knowledge: Deep familiarity with institutional-grade products, including OTC flows, API trading, and custodial architecture.
  • Communication: Exceptional command of professional English, with the ability to present complex financial concepts to C-suite executives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive growth in the institutional business segment within Crypto.com's ecosystem.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision makers across various institutions such as banks, hedge funds, asset managers, etc., through personalized outreach efforts including phone calls, meetings and presentations tailored to their specific needs.
  • Identify new institutional clients by conducting market research and attending industry events or conferences relevant to the target audience.
  • Provide comprehensive product education on Crypto.com's offerings for potential customers at various stages of decision making, from initial interest through investment consideration up to actual trading activity.
  • Monitor competitive landscape within institutional sales and adapt strategies accordingly by staying informed about market trends, new products or services launched by other firms in the space.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as product development, legal compliance, risk management etc., to ensure alignment of offerings with client needs while adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times during interactions with clients or potential customers by demonstrating excellent communication skills, empathy, integrity and respect for their time constraints.
  • Manage the sales pipeline effectively through regular follow-ups on leads generated from various sources such as referrals, cold outreach etc., while prioritizing high quality prospects based on predefined criteria established in collaboration with senior management or marketing team members.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders regarding sales performance metrics like revenue growth rate, customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value of customers acquired through institutional channels etc., using appropriate tools such as spreadsheets or dashboards created by the finance department.
  • Attend regular meetings with senior management and other key decision makers to discuss progress on sales targets, challenges faced in client engagement efforts, feedback received from clients regarding product offerings/services provided through institutional channels etc., while actively seeking opportunities for improvement based on insights gained during these interactions.
  • Participate in continuous learning activities such as attending industry conferences or webinars related to blockchain technology and cryptocurrency markets, networking with peers from other firms within the sector through professional associations etc., while sharing knowledge acquired via social media platforms like LinkedIn or Twitter when appropriate for mutual benefit.
  • Represent Crypto.com at various events such as trade shows/conferences where institutional clients are present by showcasing company's products and services in an engaging manner using multimedia content (e.g., videos, infographics) created specifically for these occasions along with personalized pitches tailored to audience interests based on pre-event research conducted prior via online surveys or informal discuss
