Banyan Software - VP Sales - OEM & Channel
Responsibilities
• Team build and leadership • Design the sales organisation: define the hunter/farmer split, role profiles, territories or segment ownership, and headcount plan with supporting business case. • Recruit, onboard and develop your own team, including setting activity standards, ramp expectations and a documented playbook for each role. • Manage and develop the existing sales team members, with clear objectives, structured 1:1s and honest performance management. • New business (hunter motion) • Own new-logo acquisition across LEVL's core segments: OEM and dealer programmes, mid-market and enterprise fleets, and vertical plays such as cold chain and waste. • Personally lead flagship and strategic pursuits, including multi-stakeholder, multi-year OEM and framework opportunities. • Build repeatable outbound and channel-sourced pipeline rather than relying on inbound and referral flow. • Account growth (farmer motion) • Establish structured account management for the existing base: retention, contract renewal, hardware refresh cycles, and expansion into adjacent products (cameras, cold chain, compliance modules, AI-enabled workflow). • Protect and grow strategic OEM and key accounts, with executive-level relationship ownership and formal account plans. • Drive cross-sell across the Banyan portfolio where LEVL customers and sister-company capabilities overlap. • Commercial rigour • Commercial rigour • Own the number: forecast accuracy, pipeline coverage ratios, and win-rate improvement, reported monthly to the CEO and quarterly to the Banyan portfolio team. • Enforce a disciplined qualification methodology in HubSpot — every forecast deal must have a scored business case, mapped power and influence, a close plan and a compelling event. No exceptions, including your own deals. • Work with marketing to align lead generation, campaign focus and partner co-marketing (including Geotab MDF) to pipeline targets. • Contribute to pricing, packaging and commercial policy, including multi-year and usage-based structures. • Qualification for Success: • Proven B2B sales leadership in telematics, fleet technology, SaaS, IoT or an adjacent connected-hardware-plus-software market, with personal ownership of a revenue number of meaningful scale. • A track record of building a team — you have hired, ramped and managed hunters and farmers, not just inherited an existing organisation. • Demonstrable personal selling ability at enterprise level: complex, multi-stakeholder deals with long cycles and formal procurement. • Genuine command of sales process and CRM discipline — qualification methodology, forecast hygiene and pipeline maths are second nature, and you hold teams to them. • Comfortable operating as a player-coach in a growing SME: hands-on, low-ego, and effective without a large support function around you. • Knowledge of the UK/EU commercial fleet landscape: OEMs, leasing and rental, compliance regimes (DVSA, FORS, DVS, tachograph), and channel/reseller dynamics. • Experience selling recurring-revenue propositions with a hardware component, including renewals and refresh economics. • Familiarity with HubSpot and structured qualification frameworks (e.g. MEDDIC or similar). • Experience in private-equity or long-term-hold ownership environments, and comfort with portfolio-level reporting. • Competitive base salary of £90,000–£110,000 with a capped performance bonus giving on-target earnings of £150,000–£180,000. The bonus plan is weighted across personal contribution, team performance against the revenue plan, and strategic objectives (team build milestones, key account retention and cross-sell). As part of a buy-and-hold group, LEVL offers long-term stability and a cash-weighted incentive structure rather than equity speculation. Car allowance, pension and private medical included.
