Requirements
• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams • Prior experience as a senior or staff-level engineer before moving into management • Leading delivery of complex backend or workflow-heavy systems in production • Operating in fast-moving or high-growth environments where priorities evolve • Establishing strong engineering practices around incremental delivery, feature flags, testing, and operational excellence • Partnering closely with product and domain experts to shape execution plans • Communicating effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders • Encouraging teams to thoughtfully leverage AI-powered developer tools to improve productivity while maintaining strong engineering rigor • Experience in healthcare, clinical systems, workflow tooling, AI-enabled products, or other regulated domains is a strong plus, but not required • Your Impact • Your leadership will directly shape how Form Health delivers care at scale. Responsibilities
• Team Leadership & Execution • Lead, coach, and grow a small team (2-3 people initially) of engineers delivering business-critical clinical and operational systems • Establish clear goals and execution plans aligned with product and company priorities • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement • Provide direct feedback, mentorship, and career development for engineers at multiple levels • Hire thoughtfully to strengthen team capability and long-term scalability • Technical Leadership • Guide architectural decisions for backend services, workflows, integrations, and internal tools • Partner closely with Staff engineers to ensure systems are reliable, scalable, secure, and maintainable • Maintain strong technical fluency across systems built with technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Node.js, GraphQL, React / Next.js, and AWS-based infrastructure • Ensure healthy CI/CD pipelines and safe deployment practices that support incremental delivery • Identify technical risks early and lead mitigation strategies before they impact care delivery • Clinical Workflow & Intelligent Systems • Oversee development of systems that support clinical charting, scheduling, task management, care coordination, automation, and intelligent workflow enhancements • Ensure systems operate safely within healthcare constraints and regulatory requirementsSupport thoughtful integration of automation and AI capabilities where appropriate, always prioritizing human oversight and patient safety • Cross-Functional Partnership • Partner closely with product, clinical, and operations leaders to define roadmaps and deliver measurable impact • Translate complex, evolving business and clinical requirements into clear engineering plans • Provide structure and clarity in ambiguous problem spaces • Balance speed of delivery with operational reliability and long-term platform health • You are an experienced engineering leader who blends hands-on technical depth with strong people leadership. You’ve managed high-performing teams and guided engineers through the delivery of complex, production-grade systems.
