Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Strong experience in SEC reporting, including Form 20-F and Form 6-K. • Hands-on experience with group consolidation in a multinational environment. • Solid understanding of IFRS financial statements and disclosure requirements. • Experience working with internal controls over financial reporting. • Certified Accountant (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent). • Strong technical expertise in SEC reporting and consolidation. • High attention to detail with a strong ownership mindset. • Ability to manage complex timelines and multiple stakeholders. • Clear, structured, and effective communication skills. • Continuous improvement mindset with a strong focus on automation and scalability.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the financial reporting process for SEC filings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in Brazil, Argentina, and Montevideo regions. • Manage technical accounting tasks related to revenue recognition, accruals, deferrals, reserves, impairment of assets, pension obligations, income taxes (both domestic and foreign), goodwill, fair value measurements for financial instruments, derivatives, hedging activities, and other relevant areas. • Develop and maintain internal controls over accounting processes to ensure accuracy and reliability in the preparation of SEC filings. • Collaborate with management team on significant estimates that affect earnings per share (EPS) calculations for financial reporting purposes. • Monitor changes in tax laws, regulations, or interpretations by regulatory bodies such as Brazil's Receita Federal and Argentina's AFIP to ensure compliance of SEC filings with local requirements. • Provide guidance on accounting policies related to the recognition of revenue from licensed entities across different jurisdictions within South America. • Analyze financial data, identify trends or anomalies that may impact regulatory reporting and internal controls. • Prepare SEC filings in accordance with U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) for public companies listed on stock exchanges such as NYSE or NASDAQ within the South American market, ensuring timely submission of reports like 10-K and quarterly earnings statements. • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure understanding of financial reporting requirements across different jurisdictions in Brazil, Argentina, and Montevideo regions.

This position has end-to-end ownership of SEC reporting, group consolidation, disclosure quality, and internal controls over financial reporting, while also providing technical accounting support on complex transactions. • What will you be doing? • SEC Reporting & External Financial Statements • Lead the preparation, coordination, review, and filing of Form 20-F and Form 6-K, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations and IFRS. • Own and manage the full SEC reporting calendar, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality filings. • Review consolidated financial statements, notes, and disclosures under IFRS. • Ensure consistency across consolidated financials, SEC filings, management reporting, and investor-facing materials. • Partner closely with Legal, Investor Relations, and external advisors on disclosure matters. • Internal Controls & Governance • Own and maintain effective Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) within the SEC reporting and consolidation scope. • Design, document, and continuously improve reporting and consolidation controls, policies, and procedures. • Support internal and external audits, including coordination with auditors and remediation of findings. • Process Improvement & Automation • Identify inefficiencies, manual processes, and data quality issues across consolidation and reporting activities. • Lead automation and standardization initiatives in collaboration with Finance Systems and IT teams. • Drive scalable solutions to support business growth and increasing reporting complexity. • IFRS Technical Accounting • Support the assessment of accounting treatment for complex or non-routine transactions impacting consolidated financial statements and disclosures. • Contribute to the maintenance and interpretation of group accounting policies, ensuring alignment with IFRS and external reporting requirements. • Besides the tailored benefits we have for each country, dLocal will help you thrive and go that extra mile by offering you: • Remote work: work from anywhere or one of our offices around the globe!* • Flexibility: we have flexible schedules and we are driven by performance. • Fintech industry: work in a dynamic and ever-evolving environment, with plenty to build and boost your creativity. • Referral bonus program: our internal talents are the best recruiters - refer someone ideal for a role and get rewarded. • Learning & development: get access to a Premium Coursera subscription. • Language classes: we provide free English, Spanish, or Portuguese classes. • Social budget: you'll get a monthly budget to chill out with your team (in person or remotely) and deepen your connections! • dLocal Houses: want to rent a house to spend one week anywhere in the world coworking with your team?
