Cerebral - Senior Accountant (1099 Contractor, Part-Time)

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance • 3+ years of in-house experience within a similar industry if not, within a big four accounting firm • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills; experienced at creating journal entries and reconciling complex accounts • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to work autonomously • Ability to meet a stream of constant deadlines and prioritize work • Proven success in working both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees • High integrity, self-aware, and humble • How your skills and passion will come to life at Cerebral: • Preparing journal entries • Reconciling accounts and proposing adjusting entries • Preparing or assisting with financial reporting • Analyze complex account activity and processes and make recommendations for improvements to simplify and streamline operations • Maintain a fixed asset register • Document and monitor internal controls once put in place • Create detailed process documentation, ensuring accounting implications of processes are clearly understood • Answer questions from other departments by researching account activity • Various special projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned
