Material Group - Head of Capital Markets
Requirements
• BS from a top program in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA, CFA, or equivalent preferred • 7+ years in capital markets, project finance, infrastructure finance, or structured credit • Personally closed $50M+ in asset-backed, equipment, or project-finance facilities • Strong command of GPU economics: unit cost, depreciation, utilization, contracted vs spot revenue • Deep modeling skills: cash flow waterfalls, covenant compliance, sensitivity analysis • Active relationships across banks, private credit funds, and infrastructure lenders • Track record negotiating complex term sheets and intercreditor agreements • Experience financing data centers, semiconductors, or other capital-heavy infrastructure • Background at a top-tier bank (GS, MS, JPM), infra fund (Brookfield, KKR, Blackstone), or hyperscaler treasury
Responsibilities
• Own every credit relationship we have and company finance • Own the first asset-backed facility end-to-end: model, data room, lender process, term sheets, close • Own subsequent debt tranches, customer contract financing, and the credit story we take into Series A • Personally closed $50M+ asset-backed or equipment-backed facility in compute, data center, or comparable infrastructure • Speed to market, the first facility closes in the next few months • You are comfortable being an early employee — hands-on with everything finance, including the unsexy parts • You will report to the CEO and have meaningful equity tied to delivery
