Guidepoint - Analyst, EMEA - Medtech, Life Sciences Tools & Healthcare Services (Private Markets)
Requirements
• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in STEM, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, or related field required. • 0–3 years of experience in research, consulting, financial services, healthcare, or analytical environments preferred. • Strong interest in healthcare investing, particularly within Medtech, Life Sciences Tools, and Healthcare Services. • Commercial and analytical mindset with an interest in business models, market dynamics, and investment themes within healthcare. • Comfortable engaging with physicians, executives, operators, researchers, and other industry experts in a professional setting, with the ability to conduct thoughtful and commercially relevant discussions. • Ability to synthesize complex information into concise, actionable insights. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with senior industry experts and clients. • Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with platforms such as CapIQ, PitchBook, Bloomberg, or AlphaSense is a plus. • Fluent in English, both written and verbal; additional European languages are a plus.
Responsibilities
• Research Coverage & Content Creation • Monitor a coverage universe of public and private companies across Medtech, Life Sciences Tools, Diagnostics, and Healthcare Services. • Track key industry developments including earnings releases, investor presentations, M&A activity, reimbursement changes, regulatory updates, and competitive dynamics. • Identify and develop timely company- and industry-specific discussion topics, including business updates, channel checks, event-driven opportunities, and broader investment themes. • Create and moderate expert-led teleconferences featuring executives, physicians, customers, competitors, and other industry stakeholders from Guidepoint’s network. • Produce high-quality research content including call agendas, screening materials, summaries, and key takeaways for clients. • Review teleconference transcripts to ensure content quality, accuracy, and relevance. • Process Management & Execution • Manage the end-to-end teleconference process including expert vetting, topic development, compliance review, scheduling, and post-call follow-up. • Evaluate expert relevance and ensure discussions are aligned with client investment priorities. • Ensure adherence to Guidepoint compliance policies and protocols. • Partner with research and recruiting teams to identify and recruit relevant industry experts to the network. • Build and maintain relationships with experts and internal stakeholders to support ongoing coverage initiatives.
