Lead and scale OKX’s global Commercial Legal function, serving as the senior legal advisor to executive leadership and global business teams on all strategic commercial transactions, providing pragmatic, risk-balanced guidance that enables rapid and responsible business growth.
Serve as the senior legal partner to business leaders across commercial, enterprise partnerships, and institutional initiatives.
Lead the legal negotiation on complex, high-impact commercial, partnership, and institutional agreements.
Embed legal strategy into the company’s commercial roadmap by partnering deeply with Product, Business Development, Finance, Compliance, and executive leadership from concept through execution and lifecycle management.
Redesign and institutionalize scalable contracting infrastructure, including governance standards, risk thresholds, playbooks, and negotiation frameworks - to drive velocity, consistency, and decision clarity across global teams.
Drive alignment across interconnected commercial legal workstreams, improving coordination, prioritization, and resource allocation.
Define and operationalize the company’s commercial risk posture, establishing clear escalation pathways and decision-making frameworks aligned with enterprise objectives.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Commercial Legal team while setting strategic priorities for the function.
Contribute to broader Legal leadership strategy and help shape the long-term legal infrastructure supporting the company’s global growth.
What We Look For In You
Qualified to practice law in the US with an active state bar membership
12+ years of post qualified legal experience focused on complex commercial transactions, strategic partnerships, [joint ventures], and global business initiatives, ideally in technology, fintech, financial services, or digital assets.
Ability to work globally, crossfunctionally, and as a partner to business is a must.
Strong experience with complex agreements, licensing agreements, intellectual property, trademark and related concepts.
TradFi, Fintech or Crypto experience is a plus.
Experience leading or building commercial legal teams or functional verticals.
Strong executive presence with the ability to advise and negotiate on behalf of senior stakeholders on high-impact business decisions.
Ability to operate effectively across multiple business lines in a fast-moving, global environment.
Strong business judgment, stakeholder management, and a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach.

Statement:
The salary range for this position is $300,000 to $430,000. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
