Requirements

• Experience leading engineering teams as an established manager, able to hit the ground running from day one. • Strong people leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and supporting the growth of senior and staff-level engineers. • A solid technical foundation that allows you to partner credibly with developers, ask good questions, assess tradeoffs, and advocate for quality, reliability, and maintainability. • Experience leading cross-functional work with Product and Design, balancing technical investment with roadmap commitments, and helping teams move forward through ambiguity. • Experience delivering complex software in interconnected domains, with good judgment about when to go deep, when to delegate, and how to keep teams aligned and accountable. • Experience coaching teams on effective AI usage, helping engineers develop strong prompting/critique habits and sharing patterns that improve consistency and decision-making • If you don’t meet every single qualification but are excited about this role, we’d still love to hear from you.

It reflects the full growth journey someone might take in the role, from developing skills early on to becoming highly proficient and ultimately achieving excellence. • $158,400 to $247,500 • Most new hires join at the accomplished stage, which for this role represents an annual salary of $188,100. A starting salary below this typically indicates a candidate with strong potential who is still developing key skills.
