Requirements
• 2+ years of experience in a finance, accounting, or financial operations role (fintech or startup experience a plus) • Solid understanding of core accounting concepts (accruals, reconciliations, close processes) • Experience managing AP/AR or similar transactional finance workflows • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with high volumes of financial data • Ability to work independently, prioritize across multiple recurring deadlines, and flag issues proactively • Clear written and verbal communication, including comfort working with vendors and cross-functional partners • Ability and willingness to travel up to ~15% annually • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • No certifications required; progress toward or holding a CPA/CFA is a plus but not expected at this level • Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets), including formulas and pivot tables for reconciliation and reporting • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP/general ledger systems) • Comfort with SQL or willingness to learn (BigQuery) for pulling and reconciling transactional data is a plus • Experience in a payments, fintech, or financial services company • Exposure to bank reconciliation involving multiple settlement accounts or FBO structures • Experience supporting audits or building out financial controls at a growing company • Familiarity with cash flow forecasting or basic FP&A support
Responsibilities
• Own day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and client billing • Support month-end and quarter-end close, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis • Reconcile internal financial records against bank statements, payment processor reports, and other third-party data sources • Track and manage vendor contracts, payment terms, and renewal timelines • Prepare recurring financial reports and dashboards for leadership (cash position, burn, AP/AR aging, etc.) • Assist with expense management, corporate card administration, and employee reimbursements • Help maintain and improve internal financial controls and documentation as the company scales • Partner with Payments Operations and other teams on cross-functional financial questions (e.g., reserve requirements, settlement timing impacts on cash flow) • Work with Engineering to track, analyze, and optimize billing and infrastructure/vendor spend, identifying cost drivers and efficiency opportunities • Support ad hoc financial analysis and process improvement projects as they come up
