Tint - Head of Commercial Auto Insurance Programs
Requirements
• Proven experience (5+ years) in commercial auto insurance, with meaningful exposure across fleet, transportation, mobility, or specialty vehicle markets • Proven experience designing or launching insurance programs, including underwriting structures, filings, and carrier partnerships • Strong understanding of commercial auto risk characteristics across diverse fleet and transportation operations • Experience working with insurance carriers, MGAs, brokers, and reinsurers to structure insurance programs • Ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, operations, and sales teams • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate market opportunities into scalable insurance solutions • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across carriers, partners, and internal teams • Experience operating in fast-paced environments, including startups, MGAs, or program administrators • Experience working with embedded insurance, program business, or digital insurance platforms • Familiarity with fleet telematics, risk analytics, or usage-based insurance models • Professional certifications such as Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) is a plus • Experience building or leading insurance programs serving multiple transportation or fleet-based segments • What We Value Most in a Candidate • Culture is Key. Responsibilities
• Lead Commercial Auto Insurance Strategy: Define and execute Tint's insurance strategy across the commercial auto vertical, identifying market opportunities and developing scalable insurance solutions for fleet-based, transportation, and mobility businesses. • Lead Commercial Auto Insurance Strategy: • Design and Launch Insurance Programs: Lead the design and launch of commercial auto insurance programs across key market segments, including: • Design and Launch Insurance Programs: • Program structure and architecture • Underwriting guidelines and eligibility criteria • Pricing and risk segmentation strategies • Policy forms, filings, and regulatory compliance • Build Carrier and Capacity Partnerships: Develop and manage strategic relationships with insurance carriers, MGAs, reinsurers, and brokers to secure sustainable capacity and competitive program structures. • Build Carrier and Capacity Partnerships: • Expand Tint's Presence in the Commercial Auto Ecosystem: Build relationships with leading transportation companies, fleet operators, gig platforms, and marketplaces to grow Tint's customer base and develop new embedded insurance opportunities. • Expand Tint's Presence in the Commercial Auto Ecosystem: • Monitor Program Performance: Evaluate program performance across underwriting results, claims trends, and operational metrics, identifying opportunities to optimize profitability, risk management, and customer value. • Monitor Program Performance: • Serve as Industry Subject Matter Expert: Act as Tint's internal and external expert on the commercial auto market, monitoring regulatory developments, emerging risks, and evolving insurance models across fleet, mobility, and transportation segments. • Serve as Industry Subject Matter Expert: • Represent Tint in the Market: Engage with carriers, brokers, transportation companies, and industry groups to position Tint as a leader in innovative commercial auto insurance solutions. • Represent Tint in the Market:

Please note that at this time Tint is unable to support candidates who require employer visa sponsorship. • Pay transparency • Pay transparency • Compensation for this role is designed to be highly competitive and flexible, reflecting the seniority, scope, and impact of the individual hired. • Base salary is expected to fall within a broad range of $100,000–$200,000, with substantial variable compensation tied to performance and business results.
