Jensen Hughes - Fire Safety Engineer
Requirements
• A background in fire engineering preferably within a consultancy environment. • A bachelor’s degree or higher within Fire engineering or similar such as Mechanical Engineering. • Strong understanding of UK fire safety legislation and Building Regulations. • Experience preparing fire strategies and technical reports. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
• Develop fire strategies for a wide range of building types. • Undertake fire engineering calculations and modelling. • Provide advice on fire safety design and Building Regulations compliance. • Review architectural drawings and assess fire safety implications. • Conduct site inspections and fire risk assessments where required. • Liaise with approval bodies, fire authorities, and other stakeholders. • Produce high-quality technical reports and presentations. • Be the expert to our clients and that all important first point of call. • Lead discussion with the design team, building control and fire service. • Attend industry conferences to network and embrace industry trends and best practices
