Baringa - Senior Consultant, Commodity & Energy Trading

• A well-rounded candidate should demonstrate a balance of strengths and experience across the following key areas: • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering or related field. • Education: • Experience: Internships (graduates welcome) or up to five years of experience in consulting or a relevant industry role, including exposure to Commodities & Energy Trading initiatives. • Energy & Power Trading: A strong understanding of power markets and trading mechanisms (e.g. day‑ahead, intraday/real‑time, bilateral and OTC markets), including how electricity prices are formed. • Energy & Power Trading: • Business & Process Analysis: The ability to identify and structure business problems, understand value drivers, and translate requirements into practical, impactful solutions. • Business & Process Analysis: • Project Delivery: A proven track record of delivering projects end‑to‑end, adapting to different roles across the project lifecycle and working effectively within complex delivery environments. • Project Delivery: • Languages: Fluency in English is essential.
