Requirements
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a training role • Experience in a fintech/ start up environment is a bonus • Prefer some underwriting/ lending experience • Target-driven with an understanding and desire to achieve our goals • Compliant to credit policy and procedures and changes • The ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment • Enjoy working as part of a team • ‘Customer First’ attitude • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • A strong work ethic • Strong time management • We prioritise sound credit decisions and continuous learning from outcomes. • We take ownership of our work and support one another to achieve shared goals.
Responsibilities
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of underwriting and training materials • Identify trends or gaps in applications and feed insights back to improve process and policy • Support quality assurance standards by maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail • Keep up to date with product, policy, and regulatory changes and apply them in day-to-day work • Assist with onboarding and development of new starters as confidence and experience grow • Make decisions on new unsecured personal loan applications using our cutting-edge credit decision technology • Carry out an in-depth analysis of Open Banking results • Assess customer affordability and ascertain their creditworthiness • Shape the processes and procedures we use in underwriting to continue to make them better • Review and evaluate credit reports • Carry out Fraud and AML checks • Follow underwriting policy and procedures • Liaise with customers to capture information and document where necessary • We encourage open discussion, constructive challenge, and accountability. • Strong performance and positive contribution are recognised and rewarded.
