Requirements

• A track record of owning and improving a business metric: you've had a number you were responsible for (conversion, revenue, retention, something commercial) and you've moved it. You think in terms of funnels and value per customer, and you're used to being measured on outcomes rather than outputs • Data scepticism (i.e. having a sense for when something is off): our data is far from perfect, and one of the most valuable things you can do is spot the obvious problems others miss. That means holding the numbers up against real-world context and noticing when they don't add up • Strong data thinking, and a good partner to the people who do the analysis: you'd work closely with our junior analyst/data scientist as a thought partner to help sharpen the framing of their questions, sense checking their approach and analysis, and making sure the numbers translate into sound commercial decisions • Comfortable making decisions with partial information: lot’s of what we’re doing is new so we don’t have all the data we’d like before we have to make decisions. You’ll be able to figure out when to proceed, when to experiment and when to pause based on risk vs. reward (i.e. what’s the expected upside, how reversible is this decision, etc). • Strong pace setter and sense of ownership: you’ll be responsible for delivering improvements for our customers rather than waiting to be told what to do, instinctively unblocking things or pivoting when a project hits a road block. You're comfortable setting a fast pace for yourself, working out the next most useful thing to do, and driving it forward without needing much direction. • Genuinely curious about how changes affect customer behaviour: you like getting into the weeds of specific journeys (watching sessions in Fullstory, speaking to customers or the teams closest to them) to build a hypothesis about why people behave the way they do, and then confirming it with data • Able to bring other teams along with you: at iwoca, people rightly stay focused on their own metrics and areas. So to get things done across Engineering, Ops, CRM and Sales, you'll need to make the case that a change is worth their time, usually by showing it'll improve something they care about. It's less about authority and more about persuading people with facts and data, and getting them genuinely excited to run an experiment with you • Excited about helping small businesses: small businesses are critical to the UK economy and the people who run them are interesting, motivated and brilliantly opinionated people. Caring about the mission matters to us

Responsibilities

• Your key areas of responsibility will include: • Own the cross-sell funnel end to end: how users move from seeing an offer, to clicking, starting an application then using one of our products. That means owning the metrics, understanding where the drop-offs are, and being responsible for improving them. • Work out who gets offered what, and when: Use customer data and eligibility signals to match products to customers sensibly, design the logic and experience behind that, and check it genuinely improves conversion and value rather than just clicks. You’ll need to evaluate how customers respond to loans, credit cards, insurance, iwocaPay and more. • Run experiments to answer real questions: Design and ship cross tests - then deep dive into the results to decide what to scale, what needs to be fixed, and what the next opportunity might be. Some tests are already running for you to build on. • Make the journeys seamless: Get into the different user journies find the bugs, tracking gaps and friction, and work with engineers to fix them and measure things cleanly, writing clear problem statements and set a high pace for delivery • Help more declined customers get funded: turning insight into a measurable increase in funded customers from the decline pool. • Measure what you ship and iterate: Track how features perform through click rates, activation, drawdown and value per visit, and be as willing to stop something that isn't working as to keep going with something that is. • Use AI to work faster and go deeper: Lean on AI tools to speed up the analysis, testing and spec-writing that used to take much longer - pulling data together, drafting and interrogating queries,
