• Deep knowledge of corporate debt structures and accounting treatments, with specific expertise in navigating complex debt arrangements typical of private equity (PE)-backed companies • Deep knowledge of US GAAP with the ability to translate standards into plain language for non-accounting audiences • Working knowledge of IFRS and international frameworks preferred, with GASB experience as a plus • Ability to research technical accounting guidance independently and produce documented conclusions • Proficiency with AI tools and LLMs, including effective prompt writing and critical output evaluation • Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical, executive, and customer-facing audiences • Ability to lead cross-functional working groups and influence outcomes without direct authority • Ability to manage multiple concurrent research and project workstreams independently • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required, with an advanced degree preferred • Four to six years of progressive experience in Big 4 audit/assurance or senior corporate accounting • Extensive background in technical accounting research, documentation, and standard application
