You maintain composure in high-pressure situations, guiding the organization through complexity with a steady hand. • Experience: 12+ years of professional sales or strategic leadership experience carrying a high-value revenue quota in the enterprise or public sector. • Domain Expertise: 6+ years of experience selling into Central Government or National Security agencies specifically within the APJ region. • Regulatory Knowledge: Proven experience navigating data sovereignty, localization laws, and international data protection frameworks. • Clearance: Ability to meet government security screening requirements. Successful candidates must obtain and maintain a high-level security clearance (e.g., SC/DV, NATO Secret, or local equivalent). • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology, Public Policy, or equivalent professional experience. • Established Network: A highly developed network of influential contacts across government, international institutions, think tanks, and NGOs within the APJ region. • Navigational Expertise: Deep understanding of the decision-making structures and procurement vehicles within major Government Organizations. • Sovereign Cloud Knowledge: Direct experience with cloud infrastructure or cybersecurity solutions addressing "Sensitive" vs. "Classified" data silos. • At Zscaler, we are committed to building a team that reflects the communities we serve and the customers we work with. Responsibilities
• Influence & Educate: Serve as a primary thought leader to senior government officials—including Ministers, CIOs, and National Cyber Security Leads—positioning Zscaler’s value proposition within the context of evolving data sovereignty and security policies. • Sovereignty Strategy: Act as a lead consultant on complex jurisdictional requirements, demonstrating how Zscaler’s platform enables data residency, localized traffic steering, and government-controlled encryption key management. • Navigate Regulatory Landscapes: Lead the dialogue around APJ-specific frameworks (e.g., SecNumCloud, BSI C5, GDPR, and NIS2), aligning Zscaler’s technology with local administrative laws and international data transfer protocols. • Operate as a Regional GM: Develop and execute comprehensive territory plans that integrate government relations, technical compliance, and strategic channel partnerships to secure large-scale national tenders. • Bridge Policy & Technology: Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Legal teams to translate high-level sovereignty requirements into technical architectures that provide visibility, control, and resilience.
