Tripledot Studios - Senior Business Intelligence Analyst
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar). • Proven experience as a BI Engineer, BI Analyst or similar role, preferably within the gaming industry. • Expert-level proficiency in Looker and LookML, with a demonstrated ability to work full-stack within Looker — connecting data sources, modelling the semantic layer, and building dashboards independently. • Experience with other BI and visualisation platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets. • Demonstrated experience building self-serve BI that empowers non-technical users, rather than only servicing one-off report requests. • Strong business orientation — able to grasp what the business is really trying to achieve and translate it into the right dashboards, metrics and tools. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explore complex data independently and extract actionable insights. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy and consistency in documentation and reporting. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple studios. • Experience with event tracking, data pipelines and ETL processes is a plus. • A conceptual understanding of predictive models such as pLTV, along with cohort and retention curves, is a plus — enough to sanity-check and report on the team's model outputs. • Light scripting (e.g. Python) for automation is a nice to have. • A passion for mobile gaming and an understanding of gaming analytics and user behaviour is highly desirable. • Working at Tripledot • 25 days holiday: Enjoy 25 days of paid holiday, in addition to bank holidays to relax and refresh throughout the year. • 20 days fully remote working: Work from anywhere in the world, 20 days of the year. • Regular company events and rewards: Join in regular events and rewards that celebrate cultural events, our achievements and our team spirit. Recent highlights have been: Thames River Cruise, London Dungeon and Summer Parties in Regents Park. • Continuous Professional Development: Propel your career with continuous opportunities for professional development. • Private Medical Cover: Have peace of mind with private medical cover, ensuring your health is in good hands. • Life Assurance & Critical Illness Cover: Financial protection for you and your loved ones. • Health Cash Plan: Benefit from a health cash plan that contributes to your medical expenses. • Dental Cover: Flash your best smile with our dental cover. • Family Forming Support: Receive vital support on your family forming/ fertility journey with our support program [subject to policy] • Employee Assistance Program: Anytime you need it, tap into confidential, caring support with our Employee Assistance Program, always here to lend an ear and a helping hand. • Cycle to Work Scheme: Make the most of our Cycle to Work Scheme for a green and healthy commute. • Pension Plan: Secure your future with our contributory pension plan.
Responsibilities
• Own our Looker environment end to end — connect new data sources, author and maintain the LookML semantic layer (views, explores, models and derived tables), and build the final dashboards, all independently. • Design and build self-serve tools and dashboards that empower UA analysts and marketing leadership across the Group's studios to answer their own questions and act on real-time insight into key metrics such as LTV, retention, monetisation and ROAS. • Conduct regular data quality checks and audits, and QA the reporting of key metrics — reconciling dashboards against the team's predictive model outputs and catching issues before they reach stakeholders. • Partner closely with stakeholders to understand what the business needs and wants — not just what they ask for — and translate those requirements into the right dashboards, metrics and visualisations. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including our ML Engineers, Data Scientists and Data Engineers, as well as product managers, UA analysts and marketing leadership across the studios — to identify reporting needs and implement effective solutions. • Write clear specifications for the data models you need our data engineering team to build upstream, using sound judgement on when a transformation belongs in LookML versus in the warehouse.
