Requirements

• Lead an engineering team with at least 5 direct reports. • Demonstrate strong software development experience across the full SDLC. • Code confidently in a modern language, preferably Go or Python. • Build software systems, internal platforms, or developer tools. • Use technologies such as Git, Docker, and Kubernetes. • Make autonomous, data-driven decisions and take ownership of outcomes. • Manage Agile or Scrum teams effectively. • Built developer platforms or engineering productivity tools. • Developed full-stack applications using React.js and Go. • Worked with Kubernetes, Ansible, Consul, or Vault. • Used SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL or Elasticsearch. • Improved observability, platform reliability, security automation, or developer experience. • Why this role is different: • Combine software engineering, DevOps, and people leadership. • Build tools and platforms used by engineers across Agoda. • Solve complex engineering challenges at a significant scale. • Please review our Hiring Process Guidelines before your interview — click here to learn how interviewing at Agoda works.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on software development across design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations. • Build developer platforms and internal tools that improve engineering productivity. • Scale CI/CD and security automation across approximately 1 million pipelines per month. • Own core developer systems, including source control, CI, service discovery, and deployment platforms. • Bridge software development and operations to improve reliability, scalability, and developer experience. • Set technical direction and drive engineering best practices. • Coach and grow engineers while building a high-performing team.
