Adyen - Team Lead - Software Engineer

• You have experience leading and developing high-performing software engineering teams. • You have a strong software engineering background building large-scale, distributed systems in Java or similar backend technologies. • You enjoy coaching engineers through technical mentorship, regular feedback, and career development. • You're comfortable leading technical discussions, facilitating architectural decisions, and balancing engineering quality with business priorities. • You have experience working closely with Product Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions. • You have strong problem-solving skills and enjoy tackling complex technical challenges at scale. • Experience building payment systems or working within the cards payments ecosystem (e.g. authorisation, routing, card schemes, issuer/acquirer integrations) is highly desirable. • You're passionate about building resilient, scalable systems and continuously improving engineering practices. • You thrive in collaborative, globally distributed engineering teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders across different functions and regions. • You embody Adyen's culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. • Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments • Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives.
