Requirements
• Professional Qualification (Mandatory): You must hold a recognized professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CPA. • Experience: 3–5 years in a corporate accounting or audit role. Experience within Fintech or a regulated financial institution is a significant plus. • Regulatory Reporting Experience (Mandatory): Direct experience in the preparation and submission of financial regulatory returns (such as Liquidity or Capital Adequacy). Familiarity with GFSC and UK regulatory frameworks is required. • Accounting Standards: Solid understanding of IFRS. • Technical Stack: Proficient in NetSuite and advanced Excel. You will also regularly use Google Suite, Confluence, Ansarada, Miro, and other specialized financial tools. • Communication: Clear, concise communication skills—essential for explaining financial variances to non-finance stakeholders. • Time Zone: You must be able to work and attend meetings during European-based core hours • A dedicated workspace. • A reliable internet connection with the fastest speed possible in your area. • Alignment with Our Values and the Xapo Values-Driven Leadership principles.
Responsibilities
• Month-End Reporting: Own the preparation of lead schedules and reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts. • Journal Management: Prepare and post journals ranging from standard accruals to complex financial asset adjustments. • Daily Financial Operations: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of corporate expenses and payables. • Intercompany & Multi-Entity Oversight: Reconcile intercompany transactions across various global entities. • Regulatory & Compliance Support: Collate data and prepare periodic returns for financial regulators, specifically focusing on Gibraltar (GFSC) and UK requirements. • Tax & Statutory Compliance Support: Prepare data for statutory tax requirements. • Audit Support: Act as a key point of contact during internal and external audits. • Balance Sheet Integrity: Perform regular reviews of intercompany accounts and equity movements.
