Hiive - Senior Analyst/Associate, Private Fund Secondaries
Requirements
• 2-4 years of experience in venture capital secondaries, private market fund administration, sales and trading, investment banking, investment sales, or a related finance role. • Experience prospecting and generating leads in a high-volume outreach environment. • Experience developing institutional-grade marketing materials to pitch ideas and partnerships to external partners. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize ruthlessly while managing multiple client relationships and transaction workflows in a fast-paced environment. • Comfort operating in an early-stage, high-ambiguity environment. • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses, or the ability to obtain them shortly after joining. • Exposure to the formation, diligence, and administration of SPVs in VC-backed companies. • Familiarity with fund economics (carried interest, management fees, waterfall mechanics). • Experience in a front-office origination role working with high-net-worth individuals and/or institutions.
Responsibilities
• Supporting senior team members in building relationships with the key stakeholders in a fund's lifecycle: the fund manager (GP), the investor (LP), and external partners, including fund administrators and alternative investment platforms. • Prospecting net new GPs and LPs to Hiive by conducting a high volume of outbound email and cold calling. • Owning the fund secondary transfer process from start to finish to generate liquidity for LPs and GPs, including fund diligence, sourcing potential buyers, and executing the transfer. • Preparing external-facing materials, including pitch decks and partnership proposals. • Tracking and maintaining the deal pipeline and CRM, keeping deal status, contact history, and next steps current. • Diligence fund structures to support deal qualification for prospective SPV opportunities. • Building and maintaining internal trackers and reporting on pipeline volume, conversion rates, and deal velocity.
