Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in arts, cultural institutions, and technology (performing arts experience strongly valued) • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives • Direct experience with grants (as grantmaker, grant manager, or grant recipient) • Exceptional project management skills with demonstrated ability to own timelines and deliver milestones • Experience coordinating across internal teams and external partners in matrixed environments • Strong relationship management and partnership-building skills • Outstanding written and oral communication skills • High attention to detail and commitment to quality execution • Comfort working independently while aligning with leadership strategy • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required • You are someone who: • Spots unexpected connections between artists, technologists, and institutions • Balances creative ambition with operational discipline • Thrives in evolving, field-building work • Approaches partnership with diplomacy, generosity, and clarity • We Are Excited To See Any Additional Experience With: • Previous foundation or nonprofit grantmaking experience • Experience planning and executing convenings, conferences, or community events • Proficiency with grants management systems (Fluxx, Salesforce, or similar) • International or cross-cultural collaboration experience • Existing network within the arts, cultural institutions, and technology space • Experience with participatory or community-centered approaches • Personal or professional practice at the intersection of arts and technology • What Success Looks Like • Year 1: • Year 1: • Program successfully launched with grantees selected through smooth, well-executed processes • Strong working relationships established with partner foundations, funders, and external collaborators • Grantees report high satisfaction with Mozilla support, accessibility of resources, and program experience • Productive cross-functional partnerships with Mozilla teams (Community, Communications, Legal, Finance, Tech Platforms) • Growing network of relationships in the arts and technologies space; regular attendance at field conferences and convenings • Successful convenings and events delivered on time with strong participation • Clear, timely communication flowing to all stakeholders; leadership and funders well-informed • Work at the intersection of arts and technology is beginning to integrate into Mozilla Foundation's broader programs and initiatives • Program operations running smoothly with accurate documentation, budget tracking, and compliance • Active contributions to team-wide efforts including MEL and process improvements • Year 2: • Year 2: • Track record of successful grantee integration into Mozilla ecosystem; grantees collaborating with Mozilla teams • Grantees achieving project milestones and demonstrating tangible impact • Deepening field knowledge and credibility; recognized as effective partner in the arts and technology space • Art and technology work visibly woven throughout Mozilla Foundation's activities; learnings from grantee work informing Mozilla's broader approach • Strong pipeline of convenings and community-building activities delivering value • Field-building resources and knowledge products demonstrating Mozilla's contribution to the field • Evidence of program influence on Mozilla's broader approach to people-first technology

Responsibilities

• Here are some projects you'll likely work on in your first 6 months: • Launching program operations for Artists Make Technology and supporting smooth grantee selection processes • Building & establishing strong working relationships with partner foundations and external collaborators • Establishing grantee onboarding, reporting, and communication systems • Coordinating grantee participation in Mozilla activities and ecosystem moments (e.g., convenings, MozFest, workshops) • Developing clear reporting and update mechanisms for internal leadership and funders • As a Program Officer — Creativity at Mozilla Foundation, you will focus on… • Grantee Connection, Platforming & Wayfinding — Connecting Artists to Opportunity • Grantee Connection, Platforming & Wayfinding — • Serve as primary point of contact and trusted partner to grantees • Identify and facilitate connections between grantees and collaborators, funders, and community members • Scout opportunities to integrate grantee work across Mozilla Foundation programs • Build relationships with practitioners, funders, and leaders in the arts and technology space • Coordinate grantee participation in Mozilla convenings and ecosystem activities • Collaborate with the Doris Duke Foundation and partners to bridge externally facilitated relationships into Mozilla’s ecosystem • Stakeholder Management & Program Execution — Orchestrate Complex Partnerships • Stakeholder Management & Program Execution — • Execute day-to-day program operations within approved scope, budget, and timelines • Translate strategic vision into operational workplans and participant experiences • Manage master timelines and ensure operational readiness across program phases • Coordinate across foundation partners, consultants, and internal Mozilla teams • Prepare status updates, reporting, and communications for internal and external audiences • Oversee logistics including vendor coordination, convening planning, compliance processes, and budget tracking • Portfolio Management — Execute Rigorous, Trust-Based Grantmaking • Portfolio Management — • Support RFP development, outreach, application review, and selection committee management • Conduct due diligence and develop grant recommendations with strategic rationale and risk assessment • Manage grants lifecycle processes including agreements, monitoring, and reporting • Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) efforts • Maintain accurate documentation, pipeline tracking, and database records in compliance with Foundation systems and policies • Contribute to field-building resources and knowledge products that share insights from grantee work • Your Professional Profile:

We do not ask for, or take into account, salary histories in our offer process. • The starting salary ranges for this role are listed below.
