Requirements
• 8+ years of professional design experience with progressive leadership responsibilities • Proven experience leading brand and communication-focused creative initiatives across multiple channels • Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in brand systems, editorial design, presentations, campaigns, and visual storytelling • Experience working within retail, consumer, lifestyle, or agency environments preferred • Exceptional typography, layout, and visual storytelling skills • Deep understanding of brand strategy, communications design, and audience engagement • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Keynote/PowerPoint, and collaborative design tools • Experience developing scalable templates, systems, and brand guidelines • Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills • Ability to communicate creative rationale clearly and confidently to senior leadership • Leadership Attributes • Strategic thinker with a highly collaborative mindset • Strong creative instincts paired with operational discipline • Calm under pressure with excellent prioritization and organizational skills • Passionate about mentorship, team development, and creative excellence • Forward-thinking and adaptable in a rapidly evolving creative landscape • What We Offer (subject to eligibility requirements):
Responsibilities
• Brand Leadership & Communications Strategy • Lead and evolve the visual identity of Ashley’s internal and external communications • Ensure consistency and brand integrity across all communication touchpoints, including executive messaging, PR initiatives, presentations, events, internal campaigns, social, and marketing collateral • Partner closely with PR, Communications, Marketing, HR, and Executive Leadership teams to translate business objectives into compelling creative solutions • Help define and maintain communication-focused brand systems, templates, and style guides • Elevate the overall quality, clarity, and sophistication of Ashley’s visual storytelling • Creative Direction & Execution • Oversee the development and approval of creative assets across digital, print, experiential, and presentation-based communications • Provide hands-on creative direction while maintaining a high standard of design excellence and attention to detail • Develop compelling visual narratives that simplify complex information and strengthen audience engagement • Bring an editorial mindset to storytelling, layout, typography, motion, and content hierarchy • Ensure work is both visually impactful and strategically effective • Team Leadership & Creative Operations • Inspire, mentor, and develop a team of designers and creative contributors • Foster a culture of collaboration, curiosity, innovation, and accountability • Balance creative quality with speed and efficiency in a fast-paced environment • Help refine workflows, processes, and creative operations to improve scalability and execution • Manage multiple priorities and stakeholders while maintaining strong organization and communication • Innovation & Emerging Technology • Explore and implement new creative technologies, including AI-assisted design workflows and emerging content tools • Stay current on industry trends, communication design, editorial systems, and evolving creative platforms • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and creative impact through technology and process improvements
