Requirements

  • Skills needed: Senior Engineering Manager experience in a remote setting with AI tools integration knowledge; ability to work independently and manage virtual teams effectively.
  • Years of experience: At least 5 years as an Engineer/Senior Engineer, preferably more for the role at InnoCraft. Experience leading engineering projects is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Master’degrees are preferred and considered competitive assets to apply with due consideration of experience level as well.
  • Certifications: None stated explicitly, however proficiency in AI tools relevant for engineering tasks is implied but not formally required by the job posting itself.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers to develop and maintain high-quality software products for our clients in the InnoCraft platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, QA, sales, marketing, customer success, finance, legal, HR, operations, IT security, infrastructure, DevOps and other departments to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
  • Oversee the engineering team's work by setting clear expectations for deliverables, quality standards, deadlines, and performance metrics; providing regular feedback and coaching sessions with individual engineers or teams as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within our development lifecycle to increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve productivity, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive business growth through innovation in technology solutions.
  • Represent the engineering team at executive meetings by providing insights into technical challenges faced by engineers; advocating for resources needed to address those issues effectively while ensuring alignment with overall company strategy and goals.
  • Participate actively in mentoring junior engineers, sharing knowledge about best practices within our industry as well as personal experiences gained throughout my career path that can help them grow professionally into senior roles themselves one day; fostering a culture of continuous learning among team members through organizing training sessions or workshops on relevant topics such as new programming languages/tools.
  • Communicate regularly with clients and stakeholds to understand their needs, priorities, expectations regarding software features being developed for them at InnoCraft; gathering feedback from users after product releases so we can iterate quickly based upon real user experiences while maintaining high standards of quality assurance throughout all stages.
  • Manage relationships with vendors who provide services or products essential to our business operations such as cloud hosting providers, software development tools/platforms etc.; negotiating contract terms that ensure cost savings without compromising on service levels required by clients using InnoCraft platform solutions developed under my leadership team's direction.
  • Monitor industry trends related specifically towards emerging technologies like blockchain or machine learning which may impact our business model; staying abreast of new developments within these areas so I can advise senior management accordingly when considering potential investment decisions regarding research & development activities focused on incorporating such innovations into future products/services offered through InnoCraft platform solutions developed under my leadership team's direction.
  • Represent the engineering department at industry events like conferences or hackathons where we showcase our work alongside other companies competing for recognition; networking with peers from similar organizations across Europe while building relationships that could lead to collaborations beneficial both ways downstream into future projects undertaken together between us two entities working closely hand-in-hand towards common goals set forth by respective leadership teams within each company involved
