Mighty Networks - Senior Software Engineer, Payments & Monetization

• Five or more years of full-stack development experience, ideally with Ruby on Rails • Strong experience across backend systems and modern frontend frameworks such as React • Experience building or working with payments, subscriptions, or billing systems • Familiarity with third-party payment providers such as Stripe or similar platforms • Experience designing and developing REST APIs • Strong understanding of real-world payments flows, including checkout, subscriptions, retries, failures, and edge cases • Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch • Experience with AI-assisted development workflows • Clear communicator who works well across teams • Bias toward action and shipping • Curiosity and a strong desire to learn and improve • Bonus: Experience with international payments and currencies • Bonus: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes • How You Operate • You move fast and focus on getting real work into production • You take ownership and follow things through • You learn by building and iterating • You care about the details that impact user experience and revenue • You stay unblocked and help others do the same • You are comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with changing priorities • You share ideas and contribute to team decisions • You prefer shipping and learning over overthinking • Location • Remote.
