Requirements
• Qualified lawyer in the UK with relevant experience in data privacy, information law, or technology law. • Demonstrated experience advising on data protection regulations (GDPR, UK GDPR, ePrivacy) and emerging digital regulation (e.g. EU AI Act, DSA). • Experience gained in private practice or in-house environments supporting commercial and data-driven organisations. • Strong understanding of data lifecycle, data governance, and risk management, with the ability to provide practical, business-focused legal advice.
Responsibilities
• Provide in-house legal advice on privacy, data-sharing, and EU AI Act compliance, assessing implications for new product offerings. Draft, negotiate, and review commercial agreements with a focus on information law clauses, ensuring alignment with EU DSA regulations. • Draft and advise on data protection-related documentation, including data processing agreements, data transfer agreements, data subject access requests, and data privacy impact assessments. • Provide guidance on new compliance reporting and data tracking requirements, aligning with the EU AI Act and EU DSA. Oversee revisions to internal codes of conduct, ensuring adherence to the latest UK and EU privacy laws, including Data Protection Directive, GDPR, and relevant regulations.
