Requirements
• 8+ years of experience in public policy, regulatory affairs, financial services compliance, or government relations. • Deep knowledge of AML/CTF frameworks, including FATF standards and their implementation across jurisdictions. • Demonstrated experience engaging directly with regulators and policymakers. • Strong understanding of global digital asset regulation, including Travel Rule requirements and emerging regulatory frameworks stablecoins and digital asset payments. • Proven ability to translate complex regulatory developments into practical, business-aligned guidance. • Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills. • Experience within a fintech, digital asset, payments, or regtech company. • Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and commercial teams in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, with a strong ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes amid evolving priorities • Prior experience at a regulator, supervisory authority, or international organization. • Established network within regulatory bodies or industry associations. • Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles with regulatory advisory expertise.
Responsibilities
• Our Regulatory & Compliance team ensures that Notabene remains ahead of global regulatory developments while shaping responsible, interoperable standards for digital asset and stablecoin-based payments infrastructure. • We are seeking a Regulatory and Compliance Director to deepen Notabene’s enterprise regulatory expertise and support our expanding role in both Travel Rule compliance and stablecoin payments. • Reporting to the VP, Global Regulatory & Compliance Strategy, you will help drive jurisdictional regulatory research and structured policy engagement;support regulatory strategy across Travel Rule and stablecoin payment frameworks; act as the enterprise-facing regulatory subject matter expert; align evolving regulatory standards with product, engineering, and go-to-market priorities; and strengthen Notabene’s authority as a leading compliance voice in digital asset and stablecoin infrastructure. This is an outward-facing role at the intersection of regulatory influence, product alignment, and enterprise trust. • Regulatory Engagement & Policy Influence: Here you will be instrumental in shaping the regulatory environment in which Notabene operates. • Regulatory Engagement & Policy Influence: • Build and maintain relationships with global regulators, supervisory authorities, and industry associations to educate them on Travel Rule infrastructure and stablecoin payment implementation realities. • Draft position papers and consultation responses across a broad range of digital asset regulatory topics. • Represent Notabene in industry working groups, regulatory meetings, panels, conferences, and policy forums. • Develop proactive strategies that shape Notabene’s policy stance on Travel Rule, AML/CTF, stablecoins, and payments. • Monitor global regulatory developments related to Travel Rule, stablecoins and cross-border payments, and turn them into actionable internal guidance and strategy. • Thought Leadership: Here you will continue to establish Notabene as the trusted compliance authority in digital assets and stablecoin payments. • Thought Leadership: • Produce high-quality blogs, regulatory briefs, and jurisdictional explainers in collaboration with marketing and product teams. • Identify and support strategic speaking and writing opportunities for Notabene’s executives. • Conduct in-depth legislative and regulatory research aligned with Notabene’s strategic priorities across digital assets, AML/CTF, Travel Rule, and stablecoin payments. • Contribute to public discourse around Travel Rule operationalization and compliant stablecoin payments. • Brief internal executive audiences on the impact of new or proposed policies/rules on and within our product and practices. • Update and expand Notabene’s Travel Rule Certification Program and ensure alignment with evolving regulatory standards. • GTM Enterprise Sales Subject Matter Support: This is where we convert regulatory credibility into enterprise trust and adoption. • GTM Enterprise Sales Subject Matter Support: • Serve as the regulatory subject matter expert for enterprise accounts during complex pre- and post-sales engagements. • Support regulatory-aligned market expansion initiatives, including leading go-to-market efforts in priority jurisdictions in collaboration with key market stakeholders. • Develop regulatory enablement materials for GTM teams.
