Requirements
• Background in Education, Instructional Design, or related field is desired. • At least 3 years of experience in instructional design. • At least 2 years of experience with eLearning development and storyboarding, including experience designing eLearning that meets WCAG accessibility standards. • Knowledge of pedagogy and andragogy, with experience creating learning experiences for both youth and adult learners is desired. • Experience creating curriculum resources from scratch, adhering to industry or defined standards. (Preferred) • Conceptual understanding of designing for 3D environments, Virtual Reality (VR), or Augmented Reality (AR). (Preferred) • Experience with 3D assets or environments and/or collaborating with 3D artists or XR developers. Responsibilities
• Use established instructional design principles, accessibility guidelines, and project guidelines to design and develop comprehensive, multi-modal learning content, resources, and implementation support, such as curricula, narratives, scenarios, storyboards, and scripts. • Prototype and build learning solutions using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise). • Ensure all learning materials are structured and sequenced to meet established terminal and enabling learning objectives within a given curriculum framework. • Engage with subject matter experts (SMEs) and interpret project documentation to gather essential information for developing user-centric eLearning experiences. • Apply advanced knowledge of learning theories (e.g., cognitive load theory, constructivism), backward design principles, and relevant instructional design models (e.g., iterative design, prototyping) to develop learning objectives, assessment items, program integration and implementation support, and engaging content. • Develop and implement clear, measurable activities and assessment items that accurately evaluate learner comprehension and skill acquisition, following established design principles and project guidelines. • Provide accurate timelines for assigned instructional design tasks and content development activities. • Use feedback from stakeholders to iterate and refine learning deliverables to meet the needs of the project goals and customers. • Communicate regularly to the project team with progress updates, risks, and overall quality of design and development.
