Requirements

  • At least five years of hands-on technical experience in Performance Marketing channel management experience for a highly-trafficked consumer website OR experience as a product manager in marketing technology.
  • You have experience in MarTech, AdTech, or Analytics platforms (e.g., GTM, Segment, MMPs, Ads APIs, or internal data pipelines).
  • You understand how tracking and attribution models work, and how to solve for them in a cookie-less and mobile-first world
  • You are willing to get your hands dirty, and open Google Ads, Meta business center
  • You’re a systems thinker who thrives on making complex ecosystems reliable, measurable, and scalable
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities
  • You have experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products to global markets
  • You’re a natural leader. You know how to influence people to get things done across any job function. People love working with you.
  • You balance strategy and execution - defining long-term vision while shipping incremental improvements quickly.
  • You’re an excellent communicator, capable of aligning engineers, marketers, and executives around a shared platform vision.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team towards a best-in-class Marketing tracking infrastructure
  • Define and continuously improve Preply’s end-to-end marketing tracking stack across Web and App.
  • Partner with Data, Engineering, and channel owners to ensure that each marketing platform (e.g., Google, Meta, Reddit, Affiliates) leverages the most advanced and reliable tracking methods available for its ecosystem.
  • Own relationships and technical conversations with key measurement partners (e.g., Adjust, Google Analytics) to ensure seamless data integration, accuracy, and strategic alignment.
  • Guide marketing teams on which events, and how they should optimize and bid on to reflect true customer lifetime value.
  • Ensure the business sends the highest-quality signal data possible into ad platforms and analytics systems, maximizing the effectiveness of bidding algorithms and campaign learning.
  • Collaborate closely with the Data team to measure channel incrementality and attribution accuracy, ensuring Preply’s investment decisions are grounded in reliable data.
  • Build a marketing technology platform that is trusted and reliable, at any scale.
  • Drive the organization toward 99.9% uptime and tracking robustness, building confidence that every marketing dollar is measured and optimized with precision.
  • Partner with Data and Engineering to design and implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems, ensuring issues are detected and resolved proactively.
  • Evangelize reliability and data trust across Preply - making tracking health a shared company priority and ensuring teams collaborate effectively during incidents.
  • Shape the long-term scalability strategy for Preply’s marketing Tech stack, evaluating key architectural choices such as build vs. buy for data and audience infrastructure (e.g., CDPs, data pipelines, consent tools).
  • Champion a privacy-first architecture while maximising data quality and business impact.
  • Proactively identify and address compliance risks as marketing technologies evolve - designing creative, compliant solutions that protect user trust without compromising data quality, business agility, or user experience.
  • Drive strategies that ensure Preply collects and delivers the highest-quality data to marketing channels, while maintaining full regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, and beyond).
  • Continuously evaluate and evolve platform architecture to stay ahead of emerging privacy frameworks and browser standards, ensuring Preply remains both compliant and competitive.

  • Lead with vision: Stay at the forefront of marketing technology and data innovation. Anticipate industry shifts - from evolving privacy frameworks to emerging ad platform APIs - and translate them into a clear, long-term MarTech platform strategy for Preply.
  • Be a domain authority: Inspire your squad and cross-functional partners by articulating a bold vision for how marketing technology can scale performance, reliability, and compliance.
  • Own end-to-end outcomes: Take full ownership of the product lifecycle - from defining platform requirements and architectural choices to driving execution, adoption, and measurable business impact.
  • Be biased for action: Balance strategy and developing conviction with quick and lean hypotheses testing to launch MVPs and iterate based on results. Open the marketing platforms and see the performance with your own eyes
  • Make decisions through data: Use data to evaluate the impact of platform changes on signal quality, compliance, and marketing efficiency.
  • Be a cross-functional force multiplier: Partner deeply with Marketing, Data, and Engineering teams - sharing ownership of KPIs and building trust through transparency and collaboration. Foster a culture where reliability, innovation, and trust in data enable every marketer at Preply to operate at their full potential.
