Requirements
• Knowledge and application of consumer protection laws and regulations such as RESPA, UDAAP, and GLBA. • A willingness to dig-in and learn new technology is critical. This role requires digital fluency or – at a minimum – a willingness to learn. • 7+ years experience in a product counsel role at a law firm or in-house legal department • Experience in a law firm or in-house corporate environment working specifically on regulatory compliance. • High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel). • How We Work: Our Operating Principles • Our Operating Principles are the blueprint of Real’s culture. Responsibilities
• Counsel our Product, Marketing and business teams throughout the product lifecycle on applicable legal and regulatory requirements and risks. • Anticipate and identify legal and regulatory risks, and propose creative and effective solutions to mitigate these risks with a business-focused mindset. • Draft and negotiate commercial agreements in support of the business and its initiatives. • Remain up-to-date on relevant industry and consumer protection laws and regulations. • Partner with the Marketing and go to market teams to ensure compliance of all consumer facing materials. • Partner with the broader Legal & Compliance team in various other corporate and enterprise initiatives as such opportunities arise.
