Reactivate - Development Manager
Requirements
• · Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field;· Two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or related occupation; and· Experience with land use regulations, environmental permitting processes, and zoning laws;· Experience with evaluating land and utility distribution networks for optimal siting of renewable projects;· Experience engaging with local governments, public officials, and community groups to understand clean energy project priorities; and· Knowledge of regulatory and policy changes that impact renewable energy projects. · These experiences may have been gained through employment, internships, or fellowships.
Responsibilities
• Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following: • · Develop and manage relationships with landowners, community stakeholders and regulatory agencies to facilitate project approvals. · Manage third-party consultants, attorneys, and vendors involved in the permitting and land acquisition processes. · Oversee all permitting processes for renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. · Coordinate with legal, environmental, and technical teams to ensure that all necessary studies, surveys, and documentation are completed to support permitting and land acquisition efforts.· Monitor and manage timelines and budgets for permitting and environmental studies to meet project deadlines. · Engage with local governments, public officials, and community groups to address concerns, communicate project benefits, and ensure community buy-in. · Stay up to date on regulatory and policy changes that impact land acquisition and permitting for renewable energy projects. · Overcome site and regulatory challenges at complex sites in order to ensure project success.
Benefits
