slate - Full-stack Growth Engineer
Requirements
• 5+ years building production systems with a growth and experimentation specialism (not general product engineering with growth on the side) • Comfortable in TypeScript / Node.js and a modern frontend framework • Deep familiarity with experimentation: controls, test groups, statistical significance, guardrails, anti-goals, exposure logging, longitudinal measurement • Strong product analytics chops (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Segment, Statsig, LaunchDarkly, or similar) and a clear point of view on how the stack should be wired • You’ve done work like this before: • Built or owned a PLG funnel end-to-end (sign-up, activation, conversion, payment) at a company where PLG is a real discipline, not a slogan • Come from a company with mature experimentation pedigree — somewhere experimentation is already a first-class engineering practice • Designed experiments with proper controls, run them to significance, and made the call to ship, iterate, or kill based on the data • (Nice to have) Hands-on with Stripe / billing / recurring payments. Useful but not mandatory • You work the way we work: • Committed to finding the balance between what the data says and what feels right for our users - we need both the “soul” and the “statistics”. • You own the outcomes, not just the tasks • You can move from strategy to implementation in the same week • You use AI tools heavily in your own workflow and take responsibility for the output • You communicate clearly, raise issues early, and don’t need permission to ship • TypeScript, Node.js, Angular / React, DynamoDB / PostgreSQL, AWS, Amplitude, Stripe, OpenAI / Anthropic APIs. Modern web, Linear for planning. Claude, Cursor and other AI tooling are part of how we work. You will help select and stand up our experimentation platform. • Location: Remote, anywhere from EST (UTC-5) to UTC+2 • Reporting to: Growth Lead • Compensation: US $170k–200k | Rest of World $95k–140k USD + equity
