Requirements
• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:• Good organizational skills• Good communication skills, both written and verbal• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite• Knowledge of computer skills, quality control, calibration, and instrument maintenance• Knowledge of various DNA sequencing methods preferred.• The ability to produce accurate work under pressure, while handling changing volumes of work, and tight deadlines. The ability to organize time and prioritize tasks.•Adhere to the department's time and attendance guidelines • PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:Duties are typically performed in an office setting. This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone and read printed material. Responsibilities
• QUALIFICATIONS:• 0-2-years experience as an ASCP-certified Medical Technologist in a clinical laboratory environment with knowledge in molecular diagnostics.• A bachelor's, or higher, degree in medical technology or laboratory scienceOR A bachelor’s, or higher, degree in one of the chemical, physical, or biological sciences, and, in addition, at least six months of acceptable supervised experience and/or relevant training• Current MT/MDxT/CLS/MB certification from ASCP, AMT or AAB is required•A copy of the degree is required upon time of hire. Degrees must be from the US or equivalent.
