Responsibilities
• 2+ years of full-time engineering management experience leading teams of 6–8+ engineers • Track record of running high-execution teams with disciplined delivery practices — tech spec reviews, weekly goal tracking, and strong timeline accountability • Experience managing and upleveling senior individual contributors • Product engineering background: you’ve led teams building customer-facing software, not primarily infrastructure or platform • Technically engaged and comfortable in architecture discussions, able to read specs critically and make informed tradeoff decisions • Proven ability to shape product and long-term technical strategy in close partnership with a PM • Strong decision maker who effectively balances ambiguity, available data, speed, and quality • Uses AI in day-to-day work to amplify your skills and strengthen your outcomes, applying it across routine workflows, actively building fluency through experimentation, and exercising sound judgment to ensure AI-assisted work meets a high quality bar. • What you can expect as a Vanta’n: • Industry-competitive salary and equity • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, with 100% of employee-only benefit premiums covered for most medical plans • 16 weeks paid Parental Leave for all new parents • Health & wellness stipend • Remote workspace, internet, and cellphone stipend • Commuter benefits for team members who report to the SF and NYC office
