Requirements
• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. • At least 2 years of teaching experience at the college/university level. • Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom facilitation skills. • Comfort with digital tools and platforms, including LMS and video conferencing. • Digital fluency and ability to effectively incorporate AI-powered educational tools into instruction. • Proactive, reliable, and committed to high-quality online education. • Passion for equity, access, and supporting students from diverse backgrounds. • Available to commit 8-10 hours per week per course, with some flexibility for training.
Responsibilities
• Teach 11-week live, online courses using engaging, student-centered instructional strategies. • Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes active learning and student participation. • Provide timely, constructive feedback and respond to student inquiries within 24 hours. • Host weekly office hours to deepen student understanding and build community. • Work with Teaching Assistants to co-manage the course, including mentoring the TA on effective grading and student engagement practices. • Evaluate student progress, maintain grade records, and submit mid quarter and end of quarter evaluations. • Collaborate with peers and Campus staff to share best practices and continuously improve instruction. • Contribute to co-curricular programming (e.g., speaker series, networking events) to enrich the student experience. • Stay current on industry and pedagogy trends relevant to your subject area and online teaching.
