Requirements
• 6+ years of software engineering experience • 1.5+ years of engineering management experience • Experience building highly available, scalable, and low-latency systems • Strong technical judgment and the ability to guide architecture discussions across larger initiatives • Experience hiring, developing, and supporting high-performing teams • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to engage in both technical and business discussions with cross-functional stakeholders • Experience operating in a fast-growing environment with evolving priorities • Familiarity with Dave’s technology stack: • TypeScript / Node.js • React / React Native • Docker & Kubernetes • What Makes Someone Successful Here • You take ownership of outcomes, not just delivery timelines. This team builds the systems, platforms, and integrations that power how Dave reaches, engages, and retains millions of members. • You’ll lead a squad that works closely with Marketing, Product, and Engineering to support lifecycle campaigns, personalized messaging, experimentation, and the continued evolution of Dave’s marketing website. That includes improving site performance, discoverability, and SEO — including the use of AI-driven SEO strategies as search continues to evolve. • This is a highly collaborative role with meaningful ownership.
