Adyen - Team Lead - Software Engineer

• You have experience leading and developing high-performing software engineering teams. • You have a strong software engineering background building large-scale, distributed systems using Java or similar backend technologies. • You enjoy coaching engineers through technical mentorship, regular feedback and career development. • You're comfortable leading technical discussions, facilitating architectural decisions and balancing engineering quality with business priorities. • You have experience working closely with Product Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions. • You have strong problem-solving skills and enjoy tackling complex technical challenges at scale. • Experience building payment systems or integrating alternative payment methods, such as digital wallets, bank transfers, real-time payment schemes or local payment methods, is highly desirable. • You understand the complexities of payment processing and integrations, including transaction flows, payment status handling, error management and reconciliation. • Experience working with APAC payment methods and local payment ecosystems is a plus. • You're passionate about building resilient, scalable systems and continuously improving engineering practices. • You thrive in collaborative, globally distributed engineering teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders across different functions and regions. • You embody Adyen's culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement. • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Adyen • We actively seek different perspectives to sharpen our ideas.
