conveo - Financial Operations Lead
Requirements
• 4–10 years of strong experience across financial operations, accounting, audit, or financial control • Implemented and optimised financial systems and controls to bring structure and scalability to a startup • Owned monthly close with external auditors; multi-entity consolidation • Model mastery: three-statement, hiring plan, scenario analysis, and ad-hoc models • Accounting, reporting, financial control, compliance, AR/AP management, audit, and ERP systems • Has seen at least 1 ERP implementation/migration • At least 2 years of accounting and financial control experience at a startup, ideally having set up the entire accounting system / ERP and books from scratch • Strong SaaS metrics understanding: ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, burn multiple • Fluent in English • Builder — creates accounting system with operational focus • Low ego — willing to do the grunt work of accounting • Precise — strong eye for detail and numerical accuracy • Familiarity with Belgian and/or UK local reporting/accountancy • Part of Series B or C fundraising as financial controller/accountant/financial ops manager • Managed financial operations for a startup before (accounting, ERP systems, AR/AP management, compliance) • Some touchpoints with FP&A is a plus but not a necessity, financial DD experience also a plus • Experience with 409A, R&D subsidies, tax administration, transfer pricing • WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE • Books closed on time every month, without exception • Automated and efficient ERP with up-to-date figures and 100% accuracy • Keeping A/R and A/P on track in real-time • Live burn, runway, and KPI dashboard • Financial model actively driving decisions • Conveo financially sound and prepared for Series B

That means we humbly go the extra mile every time. • We work hard and we have fun. • To keep our quality bar incredibly high, we want to execute with the smallest possible team. • Monthly close — operationally consolidating the books within 1 week with our Big Four partner • Finance infrastructure — finance setup from 0 to 1, focusing on ERP setup, expense controls, tools optimisation • Financial Operations — AP/AR management, VAT, transfer pricing • Reporting— board reporting, investor materials and investor discussion preparations • Financial strategy & planning — financial models, scenario analyses, KPI tracking and monitoring, board reporting • Cash & runway — burn dashboard, A/R + cost forecasting, early warnings • Business orchestration — hiring plans, ESOP plans, pricing, deal economics, capital allocation • Funding — Series B preparation, subsidies, additional ways of financing
