Requirements

• Professional experience in publishing, media, or a related field, including collaboration with partners or networks. • Proven flair for communicating ideas, with excellent written and spoken English and the ability to analyze data to uncover insights and tell stories. • A proactive and flexible approach to working across departments, in a distributed and cross-cultural environment. • Able to connect with partners who are typically based in UTC+2 to UTC-5 timezones and make 3 international trips each year. • Typically requires 5+ years professional experience in addition to a Bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years experience with a Master’s degree; or equivalent work experience. • Qualities that are important to us: • You build trust and foster collaboration across complex and cross-cultural environments, especially where shared ownership and influence without authority are key to success. • You are a thoughtful communicator who believes in genuine, inclusive, and equitable engagement with communities. • A passion for open access to knowledge and/or experience contributing to Wikipedia • Experience meeting the information needs of service users. • Fluency or proficiency in a language other than English. • The Wikimedia Foundation is the nonprofit organization that operates Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia free knowledge projects.
