Requirements

Responsibilities
• do invaluable work • Restricted Donation Reporting and Fundraising Partnership: Responsible for end-to-end tracking, analysis, and financial reporting for all restricted donations, partnering with the Fundraising team to ensure accurate expense allocation and alignment with donors’ intentions. • Restricted Donation Reporting and Fundraising Partnership: • Internal Controls and Governance: Develop, implement, and evaluate a global internal controls framework; periodically review workflows — including segregation of duties and procurement processes — to ensure data integrity, mitigate risks, and optimize operations. • Internal Controls and Governance: • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Lead compliance initiatives in a global context, including annual tax filings in Brazil and the U.S. (e.g., 1099-NEC/MISC), vendor data verification, and tracking of W-9 forms, as applicable to international operations. Ensure accurate financial and vendor compliance across all jurisdictions where the organization operates. • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: • Strategy and Operational Support: Develop and update global financial policies, identify opportunities for process automation, and collaborate with regional accounting teams to embed control points into daily operations. • Strategy and Operational Support: • General Support: Conduct ad hoc financial analyses as needed, maintain effective cross-functional communication, and ensure adherence to organizational policies. • General Support: • Support the Vice President of Finance in overseeing and executing the organization’s investment strategy. • Provide guidance and peer review of financial results to support accuracy and team development. • Communicate financial information clearly across different functional and geographic areas, ensuring alignment and adapting communication for non-financial audiences. • Comply with all Mercy For Animals policies and procedures. • Perform other duties as assigned by management. • Your qualifications will take our team to the next level:
