Requirements
• You will independently set up and execute experiments to test and characterise our products, analyse the outcome and provide expert consultation working with design and support teams in meeting evolving product requirements and customer needs. • MS in EE/CE/CS or related field with focus on embedded systems, computer architecture, or hardware engineering. • Strong hands-on experience with embedded systems, including electronics lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic/power analysers), embedded programming (C/C++, Python), firmware development, and debugging across drivers, OS internals, and applications. • Solid understanding of computer architecture and system-level behaviour, including processors, memory, interconnects, and power/performance optimisation techniques such as DVFS, clock gating, and power gating. • Expertise in power and thermal analysis and performance characterisation, including familiarity with power measurement tools, and data analysis. • Proven problem-solving skills with a structured approach to root cause analysis and independent technical investigation. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across hardware, firmware, and software teams. • Self-motivated and organized, able to manage multiple priorities. • Fluency in English. • This role is an on-site position based in our office in Zurich. • This is your chance to shape and be part of a dynamic, fast-growing, international organization. Responsibilities
• Product Testing & Experimentation: Design and execute comprehensive experiments in electronics lab environments, developing test methodologies and protocols to validate product functionality, reliability, and performance specifications. • Product Testing & Experimentation: • Experiment Development & Validation: Design, implement, and maintain experiments for product validation, and ensure robust test coverage across all product features. • Experiment Development & Validation: • Characterisation: Conduct detailed power consumption analysis of products, identify optimisation opportunities, and establish performance baselines across various operating conditions and workloads. • Characterisation: • Power Management Prototyping: Research, propose and prototype novel power management strategies, and collaborate on implementing efficient power management strategies. • Power Management Prototyping: • Architecture Expertise & Support: Serve as computing architecture subject matter expert, providing technical guidance to cross-functional teams, consulting on innovative power management strategies for next-generation development, and enabling optimal utilization of platform capabilities. • Architecture Expertise & Support • Software Stack Integration: Maintain working knowledge of the full software stack, reproduce and debug issues reported by internal teams, and bridge hardware-software interfaces to ensure seamless system operation. • Software Stack Integration:
